this is about a year old, but i just found it. it's kind of long, but well worth the listen. if you are awake, the truth will resonate within.
this makes me hopeful...i mean, even though it's across the water, we are in the same boat here. so many folks walking around in a state of fear, controlled by media soundbites. wake up!
i'm a strange bird. i've come to accept this fact. example: i don't watch tv. this makes it hard to have a conversation with anyone these days. it's like the first thing anyone says anymore is, "did you see (insert current programming) on tv last night?" i respond with, "no, i don't watch tv." i'm then faced with a blank stare and this weird, uncomfortable silence. most people can't even image life without the idiot box. they don't know how to respond. some come back with "well, i don't watch it that much." or, "i only watch the history channel." whatever.
i decided to stop watching tv about 7-8 years ago. i was tired of paying a cable bill for movies that i had already seen and tired of my kids watching stupid shit. so, i didn't pay the bill and told the cable company to come and pick up their box. they never did. but the service got canceled and life changed. in many ways.

me: well...you didn't really ask me anything.
him: ok, will you marry me?
me: yes, of course, baby.
me and charlie got married on january 26, 2009 at 12:30pm. got the marriage license at 10:20. picked up the rings at 11:15. went home, got dressed, and left for our appointment with the "marriage celebrant" (it's a virginia thang) at 12:15. my daughter, shaina, was the ring girl, witness, and photographer, lol. at 12:45, we were on our way to lunch. the newlyweds + one. ain't life a trip?!?!it's done. me and my mr. wright, hahahaha! i love you, charlie!
